FAQ's

1.  What is the difference between Pull the Dot and Line 24 snaps?

Below is a video I made to briefly explain the difference.

2.  Why don't you have this particular model available?

The models that I have available are the guns, mags, and tac-lights that I've had the most requests for.  Once I receive enough requests for a model, usually around five, I go ahead and get one on order if it's available.

If you have a gun that is not listed please email josh@shopleatherworks.com.

3.  How can I get an update on the status of my order?

Find the order confirmation that was emailed to you when your order was placed and locate the order number.  Send me an email with your order number and the date it was placed to josh@shopleatherworks.com.

4.  Is there any way to expedite my order?

Simply put, no.  The only orders I am willing to expedite at this time are for deploying military personnel.

5.  I need replacement hardware but can't find any on your site.  How can I get some?

In order for me to post items in my store I have to put a sell price on them.  Replacement hardware is free and covered under my warranty so it's not listed on my site.  If you are in need of replacements please email josh@shopleatherworks.com with details.

6.  Is there any way I can try out one your holsters to check the fit?

Simply put, no.  As all of my holsters are made to order I do not keep much extra inventory on hand for trying out.

7.  Do you offer any custom stamping or carving options.

Not at this time.  Only the options listed on my site are available.

8.  My holster is too tight.  How can I loosen it up?

The following applies to leather holsters only.  If you have a kydex holster that isn't fitting properly please contact me at josh@shopleatherworks.com.

If your holster is too tight wrap your unloaded gun in a heavy plastic bag, such as a Ziploc, or a layer or two of wax paper.  Insert the gun into the holster until fully seated and let sit for 24-48 hours.  After removing and unwrapping your gun try several draws with the weapon unloaded to check fit.  If still too tight wrap the unloaded gun with an additional layer or two of heavy plastic, or wax paper, and let sit for another 24-48 hours.

If you've tried the above steps and your holster is still too tight please contact me with details including your order number and date.

9.  I have a Tek-Lok rig but do not have, or lost, the mounting instructions.

Below are the different mounting positions for the Tek-Lok rigs.  Please note that all rigs are shipped in the mid-height and zero degree cant position.
